Convic is a WhatsApp communication and automation platform operated by Softgrid Technologies ("Softgrid", "Convic", "we", "our", or "us").

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when merchants install and use the Convic Shopify App.

1. About the Service

Convic enables Shopify merchants to automate customer communication via WhatsApp, including order confirmations, shipping notifications, delivery updates, and customer engagement workflows.

During onboarding, merchants are redirected to Convic to create or link their Convic account. A Convic account is required to use the service.

2. Information We Collect

By installing the Convic Shopify App, merchants authorize Convic to access and process Shopify data necessary to provide the service.

Merchant Information

• Store name
• Store URL
• Shopify store domain
• Merchant contact details

Order Information

• Order numbers
• Order status
• Order value
• Shipping information
• Fulfillment information

Customer Information

• Customer name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Shipping information where required

Technical Information

• Application logs
• API logs
• Error reports
• Security audit records

3. How We Use Information

• Send WhatsApp order confirmations
• Send shipping updates
• Send delivery notifications
• Provide customer communication services
• Improve platform performance
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Retention

Order and customer information synchronized through the Convic Shopify App is retained for a maximum of 15 days.

After the retention period expires, data is automatically deleted or anonymized unless retention is required by law, regulatory obligations, or ongoing security investigations.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell merchant or customer information.

Information may be shared with service providers involved in:

• WhatsApp message delivery
• Cloud hosting infrastructure
• System monitoring and security
• Legal compliance obligations

6. Shopify Data

Convic accesses Shopify merchant data solely for providing services requested by merchants.

Our use of Shopify data is governed by Shopify's API Terms and Partner Program requirements.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

8. App Uninstallation

When a merchant uninstalls the Convic Shopify App:

• Shopify access tokens are revoked
• Future synchronization stops immediately
• Connected store access is disabled
